Juanita started cooking brittles in 1974. She "cooked up" batches of peanut brittle in a small building located
behind her home and then peddled her candies from her car around the state.
She would pass out samples allowing customers to get a taste of her wonderful, homemade brittle. This was
all it took to get the business growing.
Soon she added pecan and cashew brittle to her product line and was cooking in a new, larger building.
As the saying goes, "the rest is history."
Juanita passed away in 2001, but her sons are continuing the business with her goal of "keeping customers
happy by making the best brittles."
